Why Acrylic is the Bomb

I love acrylics! I am often asked why acrylic and not oils? For me it is simple. They are just easier to use. They dry quickly – so no growing old waiting. They are water-based, so easier to clean, and they’re super versatile. As a teacher, it is incredibly useful to work with a medium that dries quickly so that students can achieve a lot more in a lesson through the layering of acrylics to create vibrant paintings.
Check out the works of famous artists like David Hockney, Mark Rothco, and Andy Warhol for some acrylic inspiration.
